A three-legged, one-eyed, hairless dog has hobbled away with the title of world's ugliest dog. Gus, a pedigree Chinese crested dog, claimed victory in the annual contest in northern California. His owner says, that she would spend the £500 prize money on treatment for Gus's skin cancer. Ms Teed entered her pet in the contest to raise awareness and hope for people whose pets have cancer. Among a host of aesthetically-challenged pooches, the Chinese crested breed is often the stand-out in the competition. Last year's winner, Elwood, was a Chinese crested and Chihuahua mix
